Replacing the car speakers is not simple

If there is any original part of your vehicle that needs to be replaced, it has to be the audio system. I believe in this because almost every stock car comes with subpar speakers. Sure, the original speakers might be okay, but they will not exactly amaze anyone. Automobile manufacturers like to cheap out on these things, so they equip their models with low-quality audio equipment.

However, if you decide that you are going to replace this feature of your vehicle, there are a few things you have to keep in mind.

First, you have to accept the fact that it is not going to be cheap. Assuming that you want high-quality audio inside, you will have to be ready to spend some extra cash. You should be looking for a component speaker because they are designed to deliver the best possible sound.

You will need to combine the two components for good audio. You will need tweeters that handle the higher frequency sounds and woofers which handle the bass.

Getting a new car stereo is a must

This is one of those gadgets that are very frequently replaced by a lot of people. Even those that do not really care about the quality of the sound like to replace to something newer and better. This is done mostly because the car stereo comes with a much smoother and faster user interface while also allowing access to more audio sources. Of course, and talking about USB and Bluetooth.

Bluetooth especially makes playing music much easier than ever. All you have to do is press a few buttons on your phone and you get connected with your car. After that, you can play anything want without the need for any unnecessary wired connections.

However, choosing the right one can be a bit difficult with so many different models and brands out there. So, when looking at different car radios/stereo/music players, you should be looking for one that has USB connections and Bluetooth. You also have to make sure that it has an amplifier and a preamp. The preamp will provide you with total control over all the sound settings. You can control the volume, the strength of the woofers, balance, fade, and everything else.

If you want, there are also some fancier options out there that come with touch controls. Of course, if you are interested in such fancy tech, you should know that they come at a much steeper price. Although, you could save a lot of cash if you manage to find a used car stereo instead of a brand-new one. Used parts can always help you save a lot of money when trying to replace any kind of tech features on your vehicle.

Look for a high-resolution rear backup camera

A rear backup camera is quite frequent nowadays, but they can only be found in much newer models because it is still a new gadget for vehicles. It may not seem like a tech feature that you really need, but it is very useful. Once you start using it, there is no going back. You have a much easier time when trying to parallel park and when getting out of sticky situations. Fortunately, this kind of addition is not that expensive.

Keep in mind, buying a rear backup camera is not only for those that do not have one. Many of the original cameras that come with the vehicle have very low resolution. Seeing through the camera is basically impossible. In other words, it is useless. If you are not satisfied with the image you are getting from your camera, I think it would be a good idea to replace it with something better.

My tip is to look for a rear backup camera that offers 1080 P resolution at 30 frames per second. That should be the minimum.

Android Auto or Apple CarPlay can be implemented or updated

Nowadays, almost every new model is equipped with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, or both. This implementation in the software allows drivers to easily connect their Android or iPhone with the vehicle.

Unfortunately, a lot of other vehicles either do not come with such software or the software is already outdated. If you want the latest and greatest, you are not out of luck. There are many aftermarket shops out there that will be more than willing to update or install Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to your vehicle.

Keep in mind, the installation process can be anywhere between $200 and $600. It sounds like a lot, but consider how much you are getting out of it. It is up to you to decide whether it is worth it.

There are probably hundreds of other tech features and gadgets you could replacing your car, but I know that these four that I mentioned above are the most frequently swapped. This is why I decided to write tips specifically about those features.
